The Clivia Market

The Clivia Market is organized and run by a dedicated committee in tandem with the annual Clivia Show and has been a feature of all shows since the first one in 1994. The branding of plant sales as “Clivia Market” however is of recent origin.

Our objectives are to:

  • provide a trading and promotional opportunity for members to increase their collections / finance the hobby,
  • provide a networking opportunity for members as well as the gardening public at large,
  • attract new members to the hobby,
  • make a significant contribution to the Club finances.

To bring together in support of the above objectives the widest possible range of high quality Clivia plants, ranging from good landscape plants to show quality, including rarities, unusual colours, species and interspecific hybrids as well as seed from top hybridisers, cultivation products and accessories.

The Clivia Market is run on the basis of rental stalls and a Club Stall which offers a no-risk trading opportunity as participants only pay a fixed percentage commission to the Club on the value of their plants sold.

A “Brag and Trade” table is provided at all Club gatherings.
